George Kidd (Scotland/England) - Any help appreciated!

Hi there,

I am new to this forum but am trying to trace the family history of my mum and would really appreciate any help anyone can give me! Unfortunately I know very little to begin with!

My mother's father was called George Henry Kidd and he was born in 1904. He told my mother he was born in Scotland (possibly in a place called Haddington?) but his birth was actually registered in Portsmouth.

My grandfather George had two older sisters (don't know how much older) called Florence and Gladys. There was no mention of brothers, and as of yet, I have no further info on them.

George's father was called George Kidd and his mother was called Florence Mary Kidd (nee Lemon). We think Florence came from Somerset originally?!

Unfortunately this is all the information that I have at the moment, which I know isn't much at all! If any of this means something to someone, I would be hugely grateful for any tiny leads, as it would mean the world to my mum.

Many thanks!
