I am from the William Keys line. I have searched records in Va. & Tn. What I'm reading matches what records I have found. William, Bingham & sister moved from Chesterfield Va. to Bethpage Sumner Co. TN after the revolutionary war. They established a church and are buried there. I have oral history (some found in old letters) saying their father was William Keys who came to US (from England) with a young son John about 1730's. Williams wife died & he remarried but I don't know who. They had William, Bingham & a daughter. I desend from John. Does anyone have information on William Sr. & John? Records were lost in the civil war and I have yet to find any documintation to varify William & Johns arrival, life, death. Is there anything written saying where they came from? John had a son Thomas who moved the family to Bedford VA. There the paper picks up and I can document the family, as in TN with William Jr. But there is no document I have found with William Sr.,John, Thomas. I would love to find something to prove the oral history on these 3!
