I'm searching for information on Lucy Keyes who was lost and never seen again in the woods of Wachusett Mountain near Princeton,MA
I know the story of the legend of Lucy but am interested in her genealogy but so far I've turned up very little about her family.
Her parents were Robert Keyes and Martha Bowker (or Bouker)and were married Dec,. 24,1740 in Shrewsbury,MA. Her father Robert was born Sept. 21,1711 Chelmsford,MA and was the son of Elais Keyes and Keziah Brigham. (Elias was the son of James Keyes and Hannah unknown maiden name.)
As well as being interested in the legend of Lucy I'm curious to find out if she & her family tie into my Keyes line in any way or not.I've a feeling that there is likely to be a connection somehow since many related Keyes in those days were in the Sudbury,Shrewsbury and Chelmsford area.
