Looking through family archives, I have found a writ which was created by Elizabeth Kewley (Turner), on behalf of her nephew and niece, Henry Douglas Kewley and Hilda Adelaide Kewley, when their father (Henry Lawson Kewley, a shoemaker) was killed by a motor vehicle in 1938 in Edinburgh.
Elizabeth Kewley Turner had brothers and sisters named: Margaret Kewley (Gilchrist), Andrew Kewley, Isabella Lawson Kewley and Henry Lawson Kewley. Her mother was possibly Margaret Kewley, sister of Isabella Kewley and Jessie Kewley (Ross). Jessie is my great grandmother. Jessie married Daniel Ross, they had 7 children Elizabeth Kewley Ross, Gladys Ross, Gordon Ross, Norman Ross, May Ross, Len Ross and Isabella Ross. Only Elizabeth married, she is my grandmother. She visited Edinburgh years ago to find the homes of her cousins in Montague St., Broughton St, Lothian St. and Dalkieth Road.
Would like to hear any other information.
