Bill, I have also wondered who the parents of Uriah Stevens
were. I descend from James Stephens of the same locality,
Do you know where Uriah was born. My Stephens family came
to Caldwell Co. Ky from South Carolina also. My grandfather
Alfred Stephens had a brother who was named Urey, thats they
way they spelled it, and I have never found this name in
my family other than that. James wife was Margaret ???
Stephens and had several children although he didn't name
but two in his Will, and my great grandfather. But in 1810
census I believe there were 7 male childred in his household.Sybil
