French history of Pierre Keville
I found the following;
According to the information in the German Heraldic books by Siebmacher, Tome 1, the following is noted down under the name Keville:
An old French citizen and patrician family of the 14th century, a native from the province of Normandie.It is documented that in the year 1665 the freedom fighter and patriot Pierre Louis Keville was decorated with the Bravery Order 1st class and the great Coat of Arms in parchment paper from the French royal house for his best service for his country."During the war of succession and conquer P.L. Keville has fought with bravery and courage against the Spanish adversaries and has brought a great victory for his country.Through his clear character P.L. Keville was always an example for his soldiers. "
I have the description of the coat of arms if anyone is interested.Send an e-mail and I will send it to you.It is also known that there were Keville's in England right after the Norman invasion.Perhaps some of Pierre's decendantsstayed behind??
