Nanette Arnold whose Grandmother, Jessie Pearl Ketner,
married Andrew S. Arnold. Jessie is the daughter of
John Daniel Ketner. John Daniel Ketner passed away
in Roswell, New Mexico in 1827 and is buried at South
Park Cemetery here in Roswell.
It is told that John Daniel Ketner came here to Roswell
about 1824. He came here in a covered wagon and told
that had only one leg. Lost his leg in a sawmill in
Arkansas. His granchildren and great grandchildren still
live in Roswell; also, spread to further areas.
Jessie Pearl Ketner was born October 7, 1887 and died
1975 in Kingsburg, California; thought to have died in
the spring of this year.
I have seen a homepage that lists John Daniel Ketner
but no further information on him; other than his death
being in 1924. Just curious to see if there are others
related to this line.
