J Ernest Kester in the following obit was my 2nd great granduncle. I am related through his sister Lydia Avis Kester (Mrs Felix McCloskey listed below).

I am interested in any info regarding any of the relatives included.

J. ERNEST KESTER
CURWENSV1LLE — J. Ernest Kester, 69, of Short St., Curwensville, died last night at 6:45 o'clock. At the time of his death Mr. Kester was serving on the Central Labor
Council and the Governor's Planning Committee for the Aged.

Born in Pike Township, Feb. 10, 1888, he was a son of the late Harvey David and Minerva Jane (Dressler) Kester. In addition to his wife, Jennie Pearl (Middleton) Kester, he is survived by the following children: Clair and Earl, Berca, Ohio; Robert and Mrs. Jennie Peoples, Curwensviile; William Dale, Baltimore, Md.; Robert Lee, at home; and Charles Ward, USN, Natrona Heights, Pa.

Also surviving are two children by a former marriage: Mrs. Lee (Evelyn) Shultz of Winburne and David Kester of Erie, Pa.; one stepdaughter: Mrs. William (Zena)
Clark of Curwensviile; two sisters: Mrs. William (Grace) Fisher of Jersey Shore and Mrs. Felix McCloskey of Lock Haven, 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kester was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Funeral arrangements were not completed by noon today. Friends, however, will be received at the Lininger Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 10 o'clock.
