As far as I know, she is not a relative. Can you give me any more information on her? My great grandmother was Christina Hand and was married to John Kester but, as far as I know, they never had a daughter named Christina. I checked the MN History web site and found a LEWERENZ, CHRISTEENA who died in Meeker Co. 10/31/1908 and a LEWERENZ, CHRISTIAN F. who died 01/16/1936 in RAMSEY Co. Were they yours? I only found two Lewerenz' from McCleod Co.

My Kester family moved to Jasper and Story Cos., Iowa. At some point, (probably in the late 1880's) my great grandfather moved to Olmsted Co. They lived briefly in Todd Co. but then returned to Olmsted Co.

I suspect, however, that most of the Kesters in Minn. and Iowa tie together somehow but I really don't know. I know that there was a pocket of them in Faribault (I can't remember if it was the county or the town) because I ran across them while researching.

John's grandfather was Lewis Kester. He moved with his family to Iowa in about 1852. Lewis was born in PA. in about 1800 or so.
