I have an original carte de visite photo of “J. C. Kerwin, Menasha, Wis. – law class 1874”, which I would like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Madison (Dane Co.) WI, and he looks to be about mid-20s. Also written on the photo in different handwriting is “Monroe-Blesch Family” and “Monroe Album” and “Green Bay, Wis.”

I found James C. Kerwin in Menasha, WI in the 1860 census. OneWorldTree shows that he was born 4 May 1850 in Menasha, son of Michael H. and Mary Buckley Kerwin, and that he married Helen E. Lawson. In the 1900 census for Neenah (Winnebago Co.) WI, he was age 50, a lawyer, born May 1850, and his wife, to whom he had been married 22 years was Helen E., born 1851.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to James C. Kerwin.
