Polish Kershasky -- Could it be Russian?

I have recently discovered that my family name of Kershasky may be Russian rather than Polish due to the "y" instead of an "i" at the end of our name. Anyone familiar with my family name or do you know where I can get info on this family? Perhaps they migrated from Russia to Poland, lived there for several generations, then immigrated to the U.S. Help!
