My great, great grandfather was Napoleon Kersey. The family story is that he died in a fire in Durham, NC before his youngest child (my great grandmother) was born. She was named Naopleon Kersey after him but went by Neppie. I do know he married a Rebecca Warren and he died in 1878 or 1879. Any information would be helpful.
