Well, I guess I was wrong. I found your David in the 1870 census of Wisconsin and he is born about 17 years too early and is listed as being born in Ohio. Even though place of birth is often wrong in the census, that's just way too many years difference to be the same person. Sorry, I had hoped it was Michaels son. Several of Jacob's sons and grandsons disappeared and I must assume they died, probably most in the civil war.
