Hi Rachel,
I was just browsing the archives of this Board and came across your posting from 6 yrs. ago.I can't help, but I can mention my family.
First, I can say that I've been researching on-line for ~8 yrs., and probably searching my KERR / HENDERSON family-group in Canada for 6-7 years on-line.This family-group left Ireland in 1823 and went to the Province of Quebec. The 9 people settled in Argenteuil County, north of the St. Lawrence River. From my queries, I found out that the KERR's of that time period generally settled in 3 different areas of the Province, including Richmond. The other area was Compton County near the southern border.
(There is at least one other researcher studying the KERR families in Richmond.)
My ancestors were cousins, Robert KERR and Elizabeth HENDERSON, born in Argenteuil County in 1827.They married there and had 5 children.Around 1860 they moved down to Compton County. There they met another Robert KERR family. No one can find out if they were related.
Around 1874 William KERR came down to MA/US and married here. His sister, Mary KERR, came down a couple years later and married her.During the 1880's the parents and their 2 youngest sons came down. They all settled in the Malden and Everett, MA, area initially.
There are some researchers have searched for a long time and they say the KERR and HENDERSON people wre born in the 1780 to 1805 timeframe in County Sligo, Ireland, and possibly in Sligo Town. But, no one researching them has been able to find out who their parents were. And no one can find out who their siblings were.
That's all I'll say for now.

(William and Elziabeth (HANNAH) KERR were my great-grandparents and they had 6 children, most remaining just outside of Boston.)
