It seems widely accepted that Mathew Carr/Kerr of Pulaski, Kentucky, born about 1765 and married to Susannah Ervin, was the son of Thomas Carr of Surry, North Carolina, born about 1731 in Gunpowder, Maryland. Does anyone know the basis for this? I have been unable to find any evidence that Thomas had a son named Mathew, much less that this Mathew moved to Kentucky. Notify Administrator about this message?
