I am seeking any information regardinga Samuel Kerr who was a private in the British 58th (the Black Cuffs) Regiment that fought in the Maori Wars in the mid-to-late 1840s. He was discharged in Auckland in 1849 , married there and travelled to Sydney where he established a number of shoe & boot shops in the Rocks area.
He died in 1903 in Paddington.
