John Kerr was the older brother of my gr-grandmother Elizabeth Kerr who was born on April 2, 1852. I don't have dates for all the siblings but what I know is as follows, in order of birth: Jane (b. circa 1838), Andrew (c. 1840), Thomas (c. 1844), Margaret (c. 1848), Mary Ann, Robert (c 1854). Margaret, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Robert were all born in Colborne Township, Huron County, Ontario. Elizabeth married W.H. Paulin in 1878 and had 6 children. She died in Manitoba in 1935 and is buried in Holland, Manitoba.
My information had stated that John Kerr died on July 1, 1891 in Colborne Township. I am not sure where in Quebec he and the others were born.
His parents,Robert Kerr and his wife Ann Million, along with his brother Thomas and her sister Mary Million settled in Quebec near a sister who was already living there. The Millions were from Leglehid, Innishmacsaint, Fermanagh, Ireland and the Kerrs were undoubtably close neighbours. Ann and Mary were daughters of John Million (died around 1830) and Mary Hamilton. All of the Million siblings and their mother followed the Kerrs to Ontario. the Fowlers were also Fermanagh people. If you need more names of the Million siblings, let me know. I have no further information as yet on the parents of Robert Kerr but I am still hoping!
