Patricia, if you are like me you've started collecting notes from everywhere, hoping that something will eventually tie together.Yesterday I found this:Jan 13, 1764, at council meeting in SC, James Kerr(s) was granted Bounty Certificate. He had paid his own fare on "The Falls" which left Belfast Irelane probably late 1763.He was listed as 26 years old and travelling alone. Also, another note was that these immigrants were placed in the townships of Long Cane (Boonsborough) and Belfast which are in Abbeville/McCormick/Edgefield Counties appx on SW border of SC.Good luck on your search. This info comes from ship's records.
My line comes from William Carr/Kerr b ca 1745 and had a son Richard who married Agnes McAdoo/McDow/McDoe.Show them in York Co. in 1805 at death of Richard's dad.
