Do you have anything in your War of 1812 records on a James Elder Kerr?According to the Register of the Buckskin (Presbyterian) Church of South Salem, Ross County, OH, copied page 117, "James Elder Kerr was a verteran of the War of 1812."The State Centennial History of Highland County, OH, also states that he was a soldier in the War of 1812, and moved from Chambersburg (Franklin County) PA in 1815.
This James Elder Kerr was born Nov 4, 1786 in Fannet Twp, Franklin Co, PA and died Feb 21, 1870 in Buckskin Twp, Ross Co, OH.He married Nancy Cunningham on Aug 6, 1816 in Ross Co, OH.
I have been able to find nothing further on his War of 1812 service.Would you have any hints or information for me to pursue this [email protected]
