Margaret Kerr m. David Rankin ?? 1700's
Just found outTODAY that my gggg/grandmother may have been Margaret Kerr, daughter of John Kerr and Lucy Pickens.Margaret was born about 1745 in Cumberland Co., PA (I think) and died about 1773-1775.If she is my missing grandmother, she married David Rankin about 1765. (David Rankin born 1745 in Cumberland Co., PA and died 1802 in Greene Co., TN, was a Private in the 8th Battalion of Chester Co., PA, Militia in Capt. David Denny's Company)They had four children (Mary, my ggg/grandmother, James, Ann and Robert) and then Margaret (?)passed away.I am researching the Rankin line and was told TODAY the Kerr's and Rankin's were close friends and that Kerr files mention David Rankin and Margaret Kerr as being married.DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW ABOUT THIS MARRIAGE, ETC?I tell you, you will make several hundred people happy as can be if you have a missing link for us of any kind.Thank you so, so much for any info you can give me about the possible marriage of Margaret Kerr to David Rankin about 1765.
