I have an oral history taken in about 1940 that may be of interest. It goes as follows:
My Family genealogy as I remember it: by Cyrus McEwin Kerr.
My Family genealogy as I remember it: by Cyrus McEwin Kerr.My greatgrandfather and wife came from Ireland and was in the Revolutionary War.His name was David and he had one son, my grandfather, James Kerr. His wife's maiden name was Sallie Bird. They lived in Tennessee but later moved to Alabama when my father was a small boy and later, when my father was about grown to North Mississippi, , my grandfather being dead.My grandfather had four boys. David, John Bird, my father Reyderus Stanley and James, who was a doctor.
David Kerr moved to Texas before the civil War between the states. In later years, he lived near Grandbury, Texas where he died sometime in the 70"s.He had five boys: Joe, Bill, Stanley, Henry(who died in Grandbury) and M.T.
This is what I have that would directly pertain to David.I descended from Reyderus.
