A Jacob Kerns married Mahela Reed, 3 November 1833, Monongalia County, (West) Virginia. The marriage ended 4-6 weeks later. A child was born 7 months later, but it was not Jacob Kerns' child. Jacob sought a divorce in 1839 and again in 1842. Mahela (Reed) Kerns married Notley Shuttlesworth in 1842.
Any information on who Jacob is, his parantage and his history? Would love to update my records
