Hi Terry
Many thanks for the information you sent us after several years not gettings very far it was good to get a little bit further. We have little information about our Irish ancestors as we had no contact with Ireland after my father Francis (we have all his details thanks) died in 1945 when I was 8. My father married my mother Sarah Hughes in 1923 in the Wirral Cheshire they had 6 children and I am the youngest. We have newspaper cuttings of the obituaries of James and Hannah deaths and in these they mention Dot Walker(nee Kernaghan) James's daughter and a Kathleen she could have been another daughter but we are not sure these had no dates on them so we were plased to get the dates from you with these were cuttings of an auction of James's estate which took place on March 9 1938.Hugh was still alive when Hannah died. There could also be members of the family in Canada as we have been told that people from Canada have visited the family graves in Mountnorris cemetery. My father enlist in Canada and fought with the Canadian forces in the 1st world war. I have his sevice records. We live in Invercargill which is at the bottom of the South Island we emigrated from the Wirral almost 30 years ago with our 4 children. I have a nephew who lived in Auckland for a couple of years and is back living in Dunedin where my late brother emigrated to.

Thanks again
Regards Frank
