I think I can knock your wall down for you but I think you might be in for a shock.
You are not directly connected to William Kernohan, born 1842, not 1851, and his wife Jane Kerr, it was she that was born in 1851.
It is only through the Census of 1911 that this connection was made because at that time William Kernohan was living with Mary Marks, although they were unmarried.
It is Mary Marks who was your ancestor, not Jane Kerr.
