I have found these messages very interesting and informative. I also am a decendant of William Kearfott II(spelling was changed and continues down this line)and so on. Have you obtained a copy of his will? I was aware he and others in the family were slave owners but have not seen the documents of their slave distribution or wills if it was contained there. I have a copy the family book Kerfoot/Kearfott & Allied Families in America but it only contains a little on the personal wills. I have another family decendant that has sent me some information that contains a couple wills, but nothing on the slave inheritances. Would you be willing to share? And if I can offer anything I have I am more than willing.
