I forgot to give credit to Douglas Somerset, also on this thread, for the info about Walter Ker being released to John Johnstone. He found the records in the Privy Council of Scotland records.

Also, I should have mentioned that it was George Scot who chartered the Henry and Francis. Laird Neill Campbell acting quite possibly in concert with Scot since they both took prisoners form Dunnottar/Whigs Hole. Campbell had chartered the ship that left the week before the Henry & Francis which we believe was the Caledonia from other records/sources.
