Hi Matthew,
I just saw your posting after I emailed Michael Karr. I am a desc. of Walter Ker and Margaret Johnstone. I'm missing 2 or 3 generations and being born and raised in Freehold, I have exhausted all documents that I could find. I pick up my line again with Walter Kerr b. 7 Nov 1759 and he is living near the battlefield during the Battle of Monmouth. He fought and his house was used as a make-shift hospital.
His dau. by Elizabeth Page was Letitia Kerr who m. my ggg-grandfather Joseph Lane. A genealogical cousin noted that on the marriage cert., Letitia states her father as being Walter Kerr Jr. Apparently he had 2 cousins also named Walter, so it is hard to connect the lineage. Would you have any info at all? Anything is greatly appreciated.
Ruth
