I am trying to get information on my maternal Grandfather's family. My grandfather was HERBERT WILLIAM KEPLEY born 8-2-1899 in Rockwall Texas. The records there burned in a fire. He married JOSSIE WINNIEFRED "WINNIE" FORD ON 10-12-1928. They had four children; JOHN HENRY KEPLEY b. 6-25-29 still living, RUBY LEE (KEPLEY) CATHEY b.5-30-1931, d. 12-8-1996, ANITA LOUISE (KEPLEY) MARTIN and later remarried as CHAPMAN born 5-27-1934 still living, and NITA DELL KEPLEY infant born 1-2-1937 died same day. HERBERT WILLIAM KEPLEY died 12-1-1959. I am Ruby Lee Kepley Cathey's daughter. OTHER INFO I KNOW ABOUT HERBERT WILLIAM KEPLEY; I was told by my grandmother that he had about 3/4 indian blood. His father was supposedly pureblood indian and his mother about half. He may be buried somwhere near Alvarado. I was told his father refused to sign the Dawes Roll in Oklahoma. I do not know Herbert's parent's names. My grandmother, JOSSIE WINNIEFRED FORD died Sept 23, 2003 taking the knowledge with her that I did not until now realize I did not know.
