I am afraid that the only other information that I have on the Kepford's is also an excerpt from Mary Kepford Honn to her granddaughter, Edith Mary Honn Peterson, in which she says "I have often heard my father [John Kepford] tell about when his grandfather came home from the Revolutionary War."
ALSO, she states, regarding Catherine Smith's family, "Great Great Grandfather Adam St. Smith came over with his family in 1736 and settled in Pennsylvania."
Hope this helps some - at least it's a lead !!
And, yes, Mary Kepford married William Henry Honn on 23 April 1864 in North Bend, Johnson Co., IA. They are both buried in Arlington Cemetery.
