I am looking for information about "Mack" or McClellan Keown (not sure if I spelled his first name right). He would be my wife's ggg-grandfather. He was born around 1865 and died in 1948 in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky. He married (1) Margaret "Maggie" Wilson and (2) Anna "Annie" Damascus. He had 8 children with Maggie. Mack and Maggie's son, Fred Keown (born April 3, 1904) is my wife's gg-grandfather.

I have been unable to find any information at all about any of Mack's ancestors. There is a story passed down about two brothers from Ireland who came to the US. One of them may have been named James Keown. They arrived in South Carolina and one brother went north and the other went south. That is the story that has been told to my wife.

Do any of the names here look familiar to you. Any information you may have will be helpful.

Thanks,
Jeffrey Lutz
