I can tell you Thomas KEOWN & James Alexander
KEOWN came to America in 1770 they were brothers. They landed in Charleston, SC and
came from the county of Down in the province
of Ulster, Ireland. They were of Scotch-Irish
decent. Thomas & his wife and 3 children moved to Kentucky and James stayed in SC. Most of Thomas' family ended up in Madison County, IL. Do you know which branch your family runs. I found a outline of a family tree for James in our local library which I
am in St Louis, MO. I could send you a copy.
I can also give you a lot of information on
Thomas' branch since that is my branch too.
