Your message struck me because of the dates and names: George and Rosemary and 1878.
I am also looking for my mothers parents: George ( b. abt 1896) and Revella (Robertson b. abt. 1896) Keough. My mother's name was Rosemary (b. 9/16/27). She had two (2) siblings: Miriam (b. abt 6/21/17) and John (b. abt 5/8/20.
According to 1930 census records, they lived in Philadelphia, PA. Through my research, I discovered death records for a Miriam Keough(3/95) and a John Keough (12/94). I haven't been able to find any of their survivors though.
The reason I am looking for them is that after my mother died in 1998, I was told that she was adopted. The story is that her biological parents(George and Revella) could not take care of her (don't know the reason) so they gave her to a foster family who adopted her and never told her she was adopted. It would be nice to know if there are any family members around.Please let me know if you can help. Thank you!
