My mother was a Keough and said it was a family story that her branch was related to Myles Keough somehow, but she didn't know how. When we went to Ireland some years ago, we visited the Keough Orchard house where we saw some of Myles' artifacts, like his saddle and cavalry hat. The Keough gentleman pulled out his family tree chart, but we couldn't find how we were related. The oldest generation that might have been the connection was missing.

I am descended from James Keough, who came from Dublin and married Elizabeth --. Their son, John Peter Keough, b. Sept. 28, 1833 near Dublin married Joanna Theresa Dunworth b. May 28, 1853 in Newcastle West, Limerick. John and Joanna came to Illinois separately and married there.

I would love to find if we are related and any more info on the Keoughs.
