I stongly believe that my wife Eileen TAYLOR nee KEOGH is the daughter of the Michael KEOGH that you seek. Michael was the second eldest of seventeen siblings, all, with the exception of the eldest Patrick were born in Kilkenny, City. Patrick was born in nearby Callan in 1899. Michael was born 23 May,1901 Kilkenny, Co.Kilkenny. About the age of thirteen Michael went to live with his auny Mary RYAN nee KEOGH in Wales. When about seventeen he joined the Dublin Fusiliers, served in India and left the army when the fusiliers were disbanded in 1922. He migrated as a single man to Adelaide, South Australia in 1924. He worked as a labourer and a rigger. During WW2 he served in the RAAF as an aircraftsman. He married in 1929. He and his wife had three children. His wife Eileen died in 1958, he died in 1971. Two of their three children still live, daughter Eileen in South Australia and Colleen in Victoria. I have information dating back to Michaels
Grandfather circa 1851 together with details regarding most of the seventeen siblings
Please what is your interest in Michael?
