Thank you for the tip Lori, I will definately follow up on it!
Unfortunately I cannot find a more specific place of birth for "Neal Kinyon (Kenyon)" other than Mass 1809. I wish I could because he is as far back as I have been able to trace and until I can find more information on him I am stuck! I do know that He and Mary S Kinyon (b.1817 Conneticut) had two daughters and at least three sons, Mary (b.1833) and Julivett (b.1837). He owned a Blacksmith shop in New York and had at least 3 Blacksmiths/apprentices living and working with him in the shop. I find it curious that they are all immigrants from Ireland, or Britian (Lancashire) by way of Ireland, yet claims to be a natural born citizen according to the 1850 NY census. I have a suspicion he possibly lied about his birth place in order to own and operate the blacksmith shop without prejudice effecting his business???? I am told he also appears in the 1840 census for the same location but I have not been able to find it. :( Do you have any other information concerning the Mass Kinyons (Kenyons)?
