I am trying to locate the grave of Stanley Kent who died aged 26 in Kenya on 19 December 1925.
Stanley served in the first world war and emigrated to East Africa aged 22 in 1922.
He was apparantely engaged to a lady called Gladys Hall. I understand that the Halls were farmers in Thika.
I understand that he gave up a job at a bank in Nairobi to go hunting with a South African. Whilst in Sudan he is meant to have caught pneumonia. My family believe that he died at Meru and is buried there. I have a book that belonged to Stanley and it says Stanley Kent c/o Meru PO so this concurs with the Meru information.
My family think he was buried with KAR members although they have been unable to help.
If anyone knows of any cemetries in Meru then I would be very grateful to hear as I would like to visit.
