The Huntingford family who lived in Kipkarren

Without reading the Huntingford entry of the Genealogy Forum, the post below will not make much sense. As I posted the message below under Huntingford I was automatically advised to post the same message under the Kenya forum. I hope that it now makes some sense.

Hello Ann

There is a possibility that Roger Lowther Huntingford may have lived in Kenya (as did his father lay preacher EW) in the early part of the last century in Kenya in the area known as Kipkarren. If that is the case then I am also interested in Roger Huntingford's descendants as that is the area that our family lived during the late '40s. A well known Kipkarren resident former surveyor, WWI soldier, settler and artist Ray Nestor (please refer to http://www.gordonmumford.com/kipkarren/index.htm ) in his unpublished memoirs housed at the Bodleian Library, Oxford University refers being taken by a young farmer who lived close by to his farm by the name of Huntingsford. I suspect that this is a typographical error in his document. My friend Tim Hutchinson who still lives in Kenya has compiled the "Kenya Up-Country Directory: containing the names of some of the Expatriates of European Origin who have lived and worked in Up-Country Kenya." Tim alerted me to these two former Kipkarren residents by the surname: Huntingford.

I would certainly love to hear from you Ann or any other descendants of the Kenya branch of the Huntingford family.

Cheers
Dave Lichtenstein
