I am researching the ancestors of my husband, Mr. Derek Ture Rundgren, for establishing a family tree. His father is Denis Rundgren (deceased),his mother Francis Rundgren (deceased).
Eric Rundgren is a Great-Uncle and Ture Rundgren the Great-Grandfather to my husband as far as I know. The Rundgrens are supposedly of royal descendant, originally from Sweden. Some or one left Sweden and went to England, from where Ture Rundgren moved to Kenya around 1894/95 to start farming. Farming apparently didn't work out too well (rumor says that Ture Rundgren lost all his land in the Rift Valley during a card game to Lord Delamere) and most of the male Rundgrens then turned their attention to hunting and Safaris. Some went to South Africa and relatives of my husband are still living there. We know very little about Ture Rundgren and his background, when his ancestors came to live in England, why they left Sweden, what Ture did in Kenya, family, kids etc. so
any other information on the Rundgren family in Kenya, South Africa, England and Sweden is greatly appreciated.
