I'm looking for a lost greatgrandmother due to an adoption that took place around 1889 in Iowa. The son of this woman was adopted to the Cornelius Goodale/Louisa(Jennie)Richardson Goodale couple in Brooklyn, Iowa. This woman, (her name might have been Carrie Ellis maiden name) contacted the granddaughters in the 1920-30s from the Peoria, Ill area. One of the granddaughters named her son after a name that this woman use Kenton (we don't know if this is a married name, or the name of the father of the baby or even her maiden name. We though she might have come from the Bedford, PA area because Louisa Richardson had originally lived there. Can anyone help?
