I'm also a descendent of Uncle Tom. I don't know if you've read the book by Allan Eckert about Simon Kenton called "The Frontiersman" but I love how the author gives Uncle Thomas Kinton credit for inspiring his nephew Simon to explore the wilderness.

Anyway, I descend from Jean/Jane Kinton who married George Nixon and moved from Bedford to Westmoreland County. That branch of the family stayed in Pennsylvania, but my ancestors through the line moved out to Missouri in the 1880s. Jefferson City, then St. Louis.

I've collected a number of Kinton wills from Bedford County, and some other interesting information about the family if you're interested.
