My 4th Ggrandfather was Peter Kent. He and several brothers migrated from Va. to Ga in 1791. I have been trying to tie their children to the fathers. We believe that Peter and brothers Daniel, Thomas, Sampson and maybe John moved to Ga. from Va. around 1791 (Peter's pension papers). They were in Wilkes Co. (deeds) and won lottery draws in several counties. In 1830 Pike Co.Census is Daniel Kent who I believe is Peter's brother. Also there is a Charles Kent. I do not know who Charles is yet. But my place to start was in Wilkes Co.where Peter lived. In 1820 census there is Peter Kent, Gilbert Kent and John Kent. The John Kent is young 16-26, (even tho there is an older male in the house). Peter had a son named John but this one is too young. On the census is a female 16-26 andtwo small children. A male and female. In trying to track these children by their marriages, I only find one John so far in Ga. that would fit the time period when they would marry. John Kent Jr. m. Sarah Harper 1839 Pike Co. and Amanda Kent m. Thomas Howard in 1840 Pike Co. I am wondering if perhaps these two children are siblings and if their father's name was John Kent and they are the two children in Wilkes Co.1820 Census? It may be a long shot, but thought I would ask. Thanks, Esther Womack
