Boy, glad to know I'm not the only one who's had this problem. Some people insisted on making my grandpa an illegitimate son of his uncle, whom he was named for. Also insist on giving my mother a middle name, she had none. And insist on me being a Patricia, which I'm not.
Others when I tell them my great grandmother was named for her grandmother, I get rebuked and told I have it wrong.I think my grandpa knew who his mother was and who she was named for.
As of now, I have no parents for Dr. Richard Kennon, nor siblings for him.
I did find one tidbit that I wonder about...I'm presuming this was Dr. Richard Kennon and Elizabeth Worsham's grand daughter, through their son, Richard Kennon.I'm not sure how many children Richard had, or who he marriedI'm also presuming this William Kennon, Jr was the son of William a brother of Richard, Jr.:
"Ann Kennon, orphan of Richard Kennon, Genr., chooses William Kennon, Jr as her guardian.John Archer, Gent., security. (Colonial Wills of Henrico County, Virginia 1737-1781 page 127.November Court 1740)"
