Info on Sophia Horton came from several sources..Kennington sources in Lancaster SC was showing Sophia Horton and her father correctly then some were trying to tie her into the New England line of Hortons from Barnabas Horton..Descendants of Daniel Horton claim her and I certainly have no problem with that as there was never any direct connecto to the Barnabas Horton line..the internet connection to Daniel Hortons line is http://www.intelcities.com/Peaceful_Grove/horton/danielhorton.html..Thehttp://www.intelcities.com/Peaceful_Grove/horton/danielhorton.html..The daniel horton line can also be contacted thru the horton surname genforum...
My ggrandfather was William J Blackmon and he married 2 cato sisters..Mary Cato was my ggreatgrand mother.Their children were Mary Catherine my grandmother and Burrell and Jessie and Easter. Polly was both my ggreatstepgrandmother as well as my ggreataunt.Polly's children according to what I have were Tom and Bill and Bob..The Kennington and Blackmon and Cato families during the 1800-1900 basically intermarried back and forth.Elizabeth Cato married my ggreatuncle Thomas J Kennington SR,,If you can figure out some of the relationships you are doing better than I am..
