Kennington Family

I amIllinois USA and I am hoping for some help or at least some direction with the following:
Moses Kennington was born between 1821 and 1833 supposedly in Ireland. He sailed to America from Liverpool arriving about 1851. He brought with him what looks to be a part of some type of a ceremonial apron and sash.
The apron is white with a picture on it. The picture is a shield divided into four parts and on the Left side of the shield are two young women - on the rightside is a woman and three children.
On the bottem it has " J. White " on one side, "London" on the other side and "Amicitia Amor Et Veritas" in the middle. This apron is bordered with royal blue and gold fringe.
The sash is royal blue bordered with white. It has a large ornament that is silver with 8 points. It contains a circle of red and a blue center.
My first thought was the Masonic Lodge, but I don't where to go to check this out.
Does anyone have any idea organization this could represent? If not, where can I go do find out? I would be happy to scan a picture and e-mail it if anyone wants to see it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Diantha
