That is right on the Nicholas creek property. Frances Kennett, do. Zachariah and Franky Pollard, married a Jeremiah Ferguson, but also, this Jeremiah's father, Jeremiah Ferguson "sr." was stepfather to Frances Thornton who went by Ferguson, and she was the do. "Jimmy" and Mary "Polly" Ferguson. Frances "Thornton" Ferguson's father being John Thornton, first husband of Mary Polly and father of about all her children listed as Fergusons except for the youngest name Jeremiah. I think this is how it goes.
This Frances Thornton going by Ferguson married Pleasant C. Thomas of Patrick Co., with a Thornton, Samuel I think, as surety. There are some church records at Jones Methodist on some of this.
Prior to that she may have married some Zachariah Kennett jr. perhaps b. about 1810 or so and her younger half-brother Jeremiah Jr. married Frances Kennett, the one in the lawsuit, who would be her sister in law, if Zachariah Kennett sr., father of Frances Kennett, had an eldest son.
I guess its possible the elder Zachariah married his daughter's half-sister-in-law in 1835, when he was about 65 and she was in her 20s maybe. Don't know.
Thanks for the help! I get confused myself with this, mostly because there is little concrete to work with. Thanks for taking the time and all to post! If I can help, let me know.
