Hi LeJean,
I think I met Ottis at Sam's funeral. I didn't kmow Sam very well because he passed away within a few months after I married Mike (levon's son). My husband ask me to try and find the Kennemer history after i had a grreat sucess in doing my own family. Levon and Harold are strange people when it comes to the Kennemer family. they refuse to answer any Questions Mike has or say they dont know. I think Levon stays in touch with Ottis but never asks us to go and visit them when they go. Mike would Love to know about the Kennemer's but I lost interest after numerous attempts to get info from Levon. I did talk to a man on the internet about the family and he sent me a lot of info but it was in no detail at all just a list of names back to the 1700's. I din't trust this info because it just wasn't convincing to me. I didn't know how he got his info or how correct it was.
Mike and I only had one child, it was a girl, she is 14. his sister married several times and had a couple of boys but as far as Sam's decendants the Kennemer name stops with my husband. Our daughter enjoyed meeting all the lost relatives on my side and ask about her daddy,s side and we had to tell her we don't know anything. Levon thinks it's rediculous but my husband and daughter want to know thier family. We have a lot of questions to get answered but I think we will start again and do this in detail just so my daughter will know who her family is. I did a family reunion on my side and we had people from 12 states 3 generations back to attend who knows if you are interested with your help we might get a family reunion going for the Kennemer's before Ottis is gone too. I dont ever remember a kennemer reunion taking place in the 17 years i have been in the family. That is ashame.As far as pictures go my husband doesn't even have a picture of Sam or Jewel.Our daughter has never seen one. they are buried below my son and she has been there but that's all she knows.we would greatly appreciate any photos you can share via the internet. i will try to post some of Sam's kidds and grand kids, etc... hope I havent board you please reply
