More Kennelly's

My husband's ggrandfather, Thomas KANALEY, was born somewhere in Limerick, Ireland c. 1812 and immigrated to Canada c. 1849.Upon his arrival he lived in Asphodel Township, Ontario and a year or so later moved to Cobourg, Ontario. He married Rose Flynn (also from Ireland) in 1852 and they produced the following children: John (firstborn), Michael, Ann, Mary, Isabella, Thomas, Ellen, James, and Martin (my husband's grandfather). The family's last name has been spelled numerous ways including KENNELLY.We know nothing about Thomas Sr's siblings or where in Limerick he was from.I have copies of all the children's baptisms in Cobourg and there doesn't appear to be any Kanaleys who were sponsors at the baptisms. We've been to Ireland twice and attempted to find Thomas' birthplace but have found nothing definite.Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
For those of you visiting Ireland, I recommend most all of the bed and breakfast places and believe me, there are many, many of them. The west coast of Ireland is our favorite area, I never want to come back home!
