Hello, you two Kennedy searchers.
I have hit a deadend looking further back from our Robert Kennedy (Clark's Fork of Bullock's Creek, York Co., SC).
He was an elder in Beersheba Presbyterian Church. We know who his children were, and sons told a census taker they were born in Scotland. In my research I've found a William and Robert, brothers, who came down from Philadelphia, but I cannot make the connection. Our Robert fought in the Revolutionary War (military records found by Elmer at the SC archives. Our Robert died 1813, son Nathaniel buried at Beersheba church. Son John (one of twins) buried at Sharon Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Robert's wife left with one of the daughters after his death headed up near Shelby, NC. We lost track of her also. We know where Robert's land was located (plat maps). Your Robert lived near Fishing Creek? Would be interested in any facts you've discovered.
