How wonderful to hear from you.
Kearn Kennedy was my Great Great Grandfather. Kearn & Margaret (Grant) Kennedy had 6 children. Two of their children (Thomas Kennedy - the 2nd oldest child, & Margaret Elizabeth (Kennedy) Drummy - the forth oldest child) didn't have children. Just this summer, Kathryn Hagel, a descendant of the oldest child, George Grant Kennedy, contacted me through this web site. Right after she contacted me, descendants of the 5th oldest child, Mary Augusta (Kennedy) Hogan, contacted me. I am descended from Ann Jane (Kennedy) Gilman, the 3rd oldest child. Now that you have contacted us, we have a descendant of the 6th child, Charles Kearn Kennedy.
This last August, my wife and I met a number of the descendants of Mary Augusta (Kennedy) Hogan. We went to a Hogan Reunion in Wisconsin, and then visited the Hogans in Iowa. James Hogan, also a great great grandchild of Kearn & Margaret (Grant) Kennedy, still owns the original Iowa homestead of Kearn & Margaret. On the way to James Hogan's home, we stopped and visited the graves of Charles & Margaret (King) Kennedy in the Calvary Cemetery, Hazel Green Township, Delaware County, Iowa.
I am hopefull that you can help us fill out the genealogy of the Kennedy descendants. I know very little about the descendants of Charles Kearn Kennedy. What I do know is that Charles & his wife Margaret M. (King) Kennedy had 6 children.I also knew that Emma (the youngest) had married a Edward Hlodek and had at least one child, Edward Hlodek.
The Hogan clan had another photograph of Kearn Charles Kennedy, and a photograph I didn't have of Margaret (Grant) Kennedy. I would be glad to share these with you. To do that I need your Email address. Please send me an Email at:
