Help, would anyone here have a record of this marriage?
We are in need of proving a marriage time line and this Elinor/Ellen PARKINSON married 1st to a William KENNEDY prob. in the Newtown-Limavady area of Co. Londonderry, Nor. Ireland.
After William died, Elinor married 2nd to John MOODY who was a widow himself as his 1st wife had recently died as well leaving him with a 5 year old son named William MOODY who was born in April 1791.
We have found an entry for John MOODY marrying Elinor (nee Parkinson) Kennedy, widow of William as year 1787 but this is clearly in error since John's son William was born in 1791 and was Not a son of Elinor Parkinson KENNEDY's.
John and Elinor had son Robert MOODY b. 1797 and daughter Elinor called Ellen MOODY born a year or so after that.
I believe these are the only two children they had.
If anyone has access to PRONI records or has further info on these couples I would be Most greatful.
We are really trying to sort this mystery out.
